Hey all,

I just installed bootcamp to access a few programs I need windows for and to be able to run games.

No issues with the install or anything of the sort, but I'm looking at the giant mass of drivers that were installed by the Snow Leopard DVD and know that I don't need all of them.

I have a 2 month old MBP 13" and as far as I can tell, all I need are NVidia drivers, the broadcom wireless one and some of the Apple ones.

I know I don't need any of the Intel drivers, but am not sure which Apple ones or if I need the bluetooth ones or anything of the like.

Thanks for any help! :D

Just leave it alone. Many of the drivers are for the chipset and are needed to optimize performance.

If you remove the Intel drivers you will be unable to use Windows. As pointed out the Intel drivers are needed for the on board chipset. There's an old saying that applies here: If it ain't broke, don't fix it! :)

Regards.

The Intel drivers are useless on the new MBP... It's an NVidia 730i chipset.

I suppose it ain't broke... But I've had trouble caused by drivers that shouldn't be in the system being installed before.

The following are Intel devices which need drivers in your machine:

1. Intel USB Host Controller
2. Intel PCI Bridge
3. PCI Express
4. SMBus Controller
5. LPC Interface Controller

And... how about your CPU and the cache controller?

It is possible to have a driver conflict by installing incorrect drivers but this is clearly not the case. After all, don't you think Apple knows which drivers their hardware needs?

Regards.
