Im new.

Hello, I recently switched to a Mac. It came in great ! Looks nice and sleek, no clumpy wiring or anything. I just have one question. How do I turn it on? The guy who set it up for me forgot to show me. I really feel sick writing this from a pc. It feels real good to finally be a part of the mac community. . I have a 27 inch Imac. Reply quick please so I could get started ! Thank you.

Check the left side of the iMac in the back..there should be a button there..or check your manual..

Hey welcome to the forum! Don't feel bad, your not the first guy who couldn't find that switch. It is in an odd place.

Don't feel bad friend. Took me a bit to find it too! I was also a pc guy.

Lol! It took me a minute to find that button too!

PC buttons are usually on the front.

Another thing is that I was trying out the software and clicked on Photobook.

Suddenly, up pops my ugly mug on the the screen staring back at me.

I didnt know it had a camera up there built into the screen!

The other thing I found is that if the DVD/CD that you have in the drive, for some reason, doesnt show up on the desktop or in finder, you can press the "eject" button just to the right of the f12 key and it pops out.

I dont know why it didnt show up.

I only had to do that once.

Weird stuff, but cool at the same time.

Hey, could be a lot worse.
My brother once worked as phone support for some computer company and a lady called in and asked how to work the "foot pedal". She had the mouse on the floor and thought it was for her foot to tap on, kinda like a sewing machine. That one really cracked me up!!
