Ok, I was using XP on Parallels and decided to try Windows 7. Installed it but can't get connected to the web. Some have suggested installing Parallels tools but it's already installed. Suggestions?

I installed Win 7 on Parallels on my MBP. I have been unable to access the net from Win 7 since doing so. It can find no wireless device. Some have suggested to install Parallels tools but it says it's already installed. Anyone having a similar problem?

Parallels vs 4 Build 4.0.3848

You have to install the "tools" for each VM. Try installing them for your Windows 7 VM and see if that works.

Regards.

The icon at the bottom right says it's already installed.

And when you go to the Virtual Machine on the menu - does it show 'Install Virtual Tools' or 'Update Virtual Tools'?

If it says 'Install' it has not been installed regardless of whether you have the icon in the system tray.

Even if it does say 'Update' run it again and select the 'Modify' option - make sure it is installing everything.
