I have numerous languages installed on my Mac.

Can I have, for example, English while using Safari and Danish while using Skype, without having to manually switch between the two languages between applications?

No. You can only have one language in view at any given time. It's certainly easy enough to switch by using the menu bar language icon from System Preferences, "Language & Text" as you've already found out.

Regards.

Thanks. I guess it will remain a wish. It is extremely simple to switch between languages and takes a second. The above-mentioned ability would have just made my life a miniscule amount easier.
