I just found this and look at Step 3 under Setting Up a Device for Development. It says, "If you are developing on Mac OS X, it just works."

Funny. And yet they attack Apple on the iPhone. (The "iDon't" ads)

Google doesn't, Verizon does. It's pretty thinly veiled jealousy.

It could be. But you have to admit that Android 2.0 looks pretty awesome.

It's a bit clunky. Definitely doesn't have the same slickness as the iPhone OS. But that will be true of any OS that isn't vertically integrated.

I don't think it's even thinly veiled. Verizon seems desperate at this point, but I suspect Motorola will disappoint them again.

Couldn't agree more. It's that Vertical Integration, or lack thereof, that will be the issue in the end.

Is google 'android'? Just want to get my terms right.
I am just glad that there is some competition to the Iphone . Seems that it can do a lot of what the iphone can do, which is a BIG step.

"Android" is Google's Smartphone OS.

Google doesn't actually make a Smartphone, just the OS - similar to what Microsoft does with its own Windows Mobile platform (now renamed Windows Phone).
