This is not free by any means, but if you do NOT write to the drive, it will get your music back. It's called File Salvage.

How do I know? I had a very late night computer session the other night. Was DEAD tired. Thought I had put back the music to my music servers drive after a format. Was so tired I did not check. All music from that system in trash. Emptied it.

The above got it all back. Again if you purchase it, don't write to the drive! I can't empathize that enough.

I don't think you can empathize something you mean to emphasize, d :D Either way, virtual memory will write to the drive too, so you probably shouldn't even use that drive until you get that thing going. Or explore other means of reacquiring your music.

Good Point. Don't do anything with it!
