calculator widget copy and paste

n00b mac user here:

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to copy results from my calculator (widget or built-in) to other apps.

cmd + anything doesn't seem to work.

This is such basic functionality that I know I'm overlooking something obvious. The fact that I can find no reference to it at all means that it's so easy "a caveman can do it" (sorry geico).

cmb and the letter C is the copy function for it cmd x is cut and cmd v is paste


If you using the widget calculator in dashboard do your sums and cut, copy and paste into whatever .doc you need to.
