Hello,
I've been trying quite a few tricks, but I'm still unable to get my Macbook and Vista PC play nicely.
Just moments ago I went through this tutorial:
File sharing between XP, Vista and OS X on a local network - PC & Desktop Computers
but unfortunately still no cigar - neither computers can even see each other. My Vista has a firewall software called Comodo, but I have defined a trusted network where both of my computers reside. I have also tried setting the Mac's firewall completely off, but in vain.
Directly connecting using names or IPs fails also. In Vista I get an error message:
Error code: 0x80004005
Unspecified error
Any ideas how to get this to work? I also have Ubuntu on the PC and at some point I was able to see that from my Mac, but I would very much like to get this working from Windows.
Thanks!
