Just a brief curiosity - I've pre-ordered Tiger. As you do.

Do Apple tend to arrange the delivery so that it arrives on your doorstep on the day of release, or do they wait until the day of release before dispatching it meaning you get it a few days later?

(I'm in UK, btw)

The only thing I have preordered was iLife 04 which arrived the day of the release
I picked up panther at the apple store when they had a huge release celebration

well i've read on a bunch of sites that have tiger for pre-order and they all say DELIVERED by the 29th, so i'm betting you receive it later in the day on the 29th. or maybe a day after.

apple uk say preorder as of now for shipment by 29/04/05

to me that means we should get it on or around 30/04/05

Oh well, should be interesting to see what happens. I forgot the post came on a Saturday too :)

Otherwise it would've been May 3rd (1st is Sunday, 2nd is Mayday bank holiday) which of course is a bit more of a wait!
