I do beleive you click on an icon click the Apple + I

Then you click on the graphic and press Apple + C

Then, click on the icon you want to change, press the Apple + I

Click on the graphic then press Apple + V

To be more specific, you just need an image in your clipboard. Cmd (the apple key) + C is the universal "copy" command shortcut. To access the icon data of a particular item, select it and open an "inspector" window for it. That's what the "Cmd + I" keystroke is for. Then you can click on the icon in that window and copy, paste, or hit delete to reset it to the default for that file/folder/volume type.

you can use ANY image that you can cut or copy!

What about changing system icons.... such as finder, home, apps, etc etc. I found a snazzy crome set on apples site I really like. :)
