• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I'm pretty much a video editing noob. I have the basics down using Premier and Final Cut...importing video, editing, inserting transitions and title slides. But now I want to take it to the next level. I want to create animated title slides to put in my videos. Where do I begin? What program should I use? I have Final Cut Studio 3, so I would like to use that program as much as I can. (Of course I have to learn first...I understand that).

Do you create the slides in another program, render the video and drop in the videos?

This is an example of what I am trying to create

Any input your guys could provide would be grealy appreciated.

Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
Late 2013 rMBP, i7, 750m gpu, OSX versions 10.9.3, 10.10
With FCS3, you'll use motion and/or Livetype. You'll want to find some tutorials on how to use those tools effectively tho as they can be a challenge to get exactly what you want.
