Disc Drive not detected

I've had bootcamp running XP service pack 2 for several months and its been working fine until recently, where the disc drive wont register. Any disc I put in (such as my Leopard disc) wont register, and it even doesn't show up as an empty disc drive in My Computer.

Any help please?

Try booting Windows in safe mode, see if it works then, if it does... run the Leopard Disk.
