Currently using a G5 now at Small Dog Electronics.

Can tell you that I will get one of these as soon as possible. They smoke. They look great and, it is cool to see the fans adjust to the heat inside. And this is only a 1.6GHz... I want a Dually 2.0 :)

Maybe they'll give me an Apple Loan :)

Now I'm using the 17" Powerbook. Way too big, and the keyboard sucks. But then again, I'm not used to it. It's very slim, which is nice, but the screen is absolutely huge. The 15" is nice, but I love my iBook, so I think I'll walk awaynow :)

the way i tested the speed of the G5 at the apple store, was to open the Applications folder, highlight everything in it and press Command+O .. great stuff. i wish my imac could do that without watching the beachball twirl around a lot

The G5's are nice, too bad I couldn't afford the Dual 2 <_> but eh, I'll be happy with the 1.8 :p

I want to get me an iBook or maybe even a Powerbook, but that's later.

Yeah, I opened up a Terminal ran top and then watched as I started up Photoshop and InDesign, and messed around with a bunch of stuff. Started up the G5 vid from the Apple site on a second monitor they had hooked up. No real bottlenecks that I could see.
