Power Supply Cord tricks?

My laptop's power supply cord is getting finicky, I have to move it near the base for the power to get through to the laptop. Is this dangerous? Anyone have any tricks or tips to get it to work more regularly? It looks like the skinny cord was pinched near the power adapter.

Recommendations of where to purchase an older portable power adapter also appreciated (ebay??)

Unless you want to always put it on top of the power cord, no... nothing you can do.
And you don't want to keep using a faulty adaptercord, due to fireprevention, and shortcircuits.

Ebay is a good site to order a secondhand adapter, or secondhandmac.com.

I'd replace it. They are known to cause all kinds of issues, some leading to damage to the computer or worse.
