macbook dvd player

I just have one simple question...
does anybody know how much damage, if any, it will bring on a macbook if I were to constantly, and by that I mean daily, play dvd's on it
I want to know of ANY PROBLEMS this can cause

I'm not actually sure, it really depends on a lot of factors, what kind of dvd's you use, how you treat your MacBook, and so on.

But I've heard some lasted up to 3000 hours, I don't know where they got the numbers, who keeps count of these things?
