Cannot connect to net on my imac at home (powerbook fine so not a router wifi prob).

Safari just got slower and then stopped. I get message 'Safari cannot open page... There was a problem communicating with the web proxy server (HTTP) kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork:306'

Any advice? Simple please.

Thanks.

My Safari 4 kept crashing recently. An upgrade to Snow Leopard fixed the problem, I don't know what it was. Safari probably wanted to be my default browser. Are you sure that your iMac is connected to your network, and not a computer-to-computer network?
