Just finished moving my iTunes library from my PC's external drive to my MBP!
If you need to do any moving of your iTunes library I'd recommend reading this article first. It may have a bit more info than you want to read but it kept me out of trouble.
On my PC there was way too much electronic noise to listen to music with the earbuds plugged directly into the computer. With the MBP the sound is great!
