Folders in events in iPhoto?

can you make folders in iPhoto where you can sort your events right in there instead of making a folder in the left menu bar (or what I might call it).

so, I got for example a trip to Canada with lots of different events and I want to put them into a folder called "My Trip To Canada"

No, you can't put folders in an event. To accomplish what you want to do, for instance, make a folder (in the left pane) named "Canada". Then choose a subset of photos and put them in an album named, for example, "train ride". Put that album in the folder "Canada". Keep making albums of the subsets you want and put them all in the "Canada" folder.

You could also use keywords to do this. Give the keyword "train" to all those photos. Then do a smart album keying on "train". Put that smart album in the folder "Canada".
