Hi i have the macbook pro 2.53 ghz 15".
And i have such a low fps on games like Call Of Duty 4.
And if i put the screen res. on any game at 1404 thing its even more worst up. It need to stay arround 1000 so i have no lag. But even than i have still fps lag at cod4. This is not normal on a notebook like this.
Does anyone know what's the problem?

It would help tremendously if you could tell us a little more about your Mac (amount of memory, what version of Windows, whether you installed the Boot Camp drivers and if you've updated to the latest NVIDIA driver).

Your Mac certainly can but it depends on the video drivers you're using in Windows. Make sure you have the latest drivers as cw107 has advised you.

Regards.

It really doesn't sound like the Boot Camp drivers are installed.

After you finish installing Windows, the next step is to insert your OS X disc (or System Disc 1) and allow Windows to install the Boot Camp drivers. Did you do this?

This is the driver you want from NVIDIA:

GeForce Release 186

Note that you must download and install this while running Vista.

Also, you may want to consider running XP instead of Vista, which in and of itself should yield much better performance due to lack of bloat and overhead.

No clue. Maybe try starting out at the nvidia web page, click on download drivers and let it detect the type of driver you need.

Sounds to me also like a driver or a software problem, I have the same MBP as you do, only the 2,66 GHz version and I can play COD 4 without any problems, even GTA IV.
Might indeed wanna consider XP, there are ways of getting that you know, I should'nt go on, or I'll get in trouble.

aha xD Great one xP
So its the vista you think?

I don't believe that's the only factor, but it is known to be a resource hog.

Your problem is almost definitely driver related.
