who is the guy that sells apple care via ebay? i forgot the name. thanks

i have all in one printer connected via time capsule, so i cannot get the scan function to operate. somewhere i read on the forums, that there is additional hardware (a special type of hub) that you can purchase that 'tricks' time capsule (or anything it's connected to) into believing it is connected directly to your computer. will this hardware allow scanning if connected to time capsule? where can i find more info?
