• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I'm kind of dissapointed with iMovie '09 and wonder if its still possible to downgrade to iMovie HD 6 so that I can use audio effects and such. I googled this and keep coming up with a link to the Apple/Downloads page, but the old version of iMovie is nowhere to be seen, just some updates for it.

EDIT*
Figured I'd add a little more info to clarify, maybe someone can help me out. I have a spankin' new Macbook that came with iMovie 09. I know there was a free download for people who were not too keen on iMovie 08, that seems to have dried up unfortunately. And finally, the reason for all of this, I have an annoying hiss that I would just love to remove from my video, and I CAN do it with Audacity, but the workflow for this is ridiculous. iMovie 09 is incomplete to me as it stands right now, unless I'm missing something.

I also found iMovie a real pain. I'm still in '08 and that really bothers me. I know they were trying to make things better, but they screwed up and made it harder to use. My suggestion is to look on eBay for a cheap (legal) copy of iLife '06.
