External HD Formating

hi i have formatted my external HD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), but when i give to my bro's Windows computer i does not recognize it.

which formating on my Macbook Pro do i need for the HD to recognize on Windows computer?

Your Mac's Specs
Way... way too many specs to list.
Without any third party software you would need to format it in FAT32 to have it be readable and writeable by multiple OS's.
