I was reading about this program called crossover that allows you to run windows applications without a windows CD. How effective is this? Does it work well? I just want to use it run MS office and MS Money.

I use Crossover Games to play Team Fortress 2 and I love it. No glitches and it supports a wide variety of games. I have the Mac version of MS Office which runs like a champ, better than my work PC.

It has a free download and trial so you can verify for yourself if it will run the apps you're interested in.

And it runs on Intel machines only and it does help if you include your machine details.

It's a nice app, but it does have some glitches. It won't be as powerful as running boot camp, but it will give you the ability to run many windows apps side by side with os x apps.
