Warranty void if replacing HDD & RAM?

Hey guys

I'm planning to buy af MBP 13" from the apple store, but I have a quick question. Do i still have my warranty if i replace the HDD and RAM in the MBP?

Any damage inflicted upon the computer is not covered, accidental or purposely.


And this does not void the warranty.

If you purposely inflicted damage upon any component on the computer, then it would void the warranty. But if it was an accident, then you're covered.

Not true. Accidental damage is not covered in Apple's warranty. If I accidently drop water on my MacBook they will not fix it. If I accidently drop my MacBook and crack the screen they will not fix it.

Oops, should clarify by the way you worded your question.

Yes you will still have a warranty if you replace your own RAM and HDD. I'm used to seeing the question worded as 'will this void my warranty'.

And it won't. Also I just did the RAM on mine. Easy and relatively cheap.

It is very easy to replace RAM, I just suggested that if he doesn't know entirely what to do, he should leave it to pros.
