Just picked up my first mac yesterday, got a macbook pro 13" for collage this fall, and even though I'm mac illiterate I'm very impressed. I will apologize now for the stupid questions it may seem that i will ask in the future until i get this beast mastered. My first question is can some one point me to some very good tutorials to get me aquainted with my new friend ?

One of your BEST bets is to invest in this book:

Amazon.com: Mac OS X Leopard: The Missing Manual (9780596529529): David Pogue: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Mac-OS-Leopard-Missing-Manual/dp/059652952X)

It will help you more than you can possibly imagine - it provides a good understanding of the OS, as well as an excellent reference.

Other then that, I'd suggest checking out some of the tutorial videos at Apples site:

Apple - Find Out How - Mac Basics (http://www.apple.com/findouthow/mac/)

Congrats on your new aquisition!

Welcome to the forums, and do not be afraid to ask any questions.

As a starter try his site

Mac For Beginners | Mac OS X Introduction (http://www.macforbeginners.com/page.php?id=155)

Have a look at these video tutorials, which may be more useful if you are a visual learner as I am.
