After reading this forum for quite some time and reaching a new level of frustration with PCs..I'm joining the Mac Nation.

Should get delivery next week on a MBP 15" 4gb 320gb hdd.

Questions to follow...I'm sure

Congratulations on your new aquisition! I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. Just remember, in moving from Windows to OSX, lots of things are different, and so it will take some time to adjust. It may be frustrating at times, but it is also a lot of fun.

I definitely recommend you get: Amazon.com: Mac OS X Leopard: The Missing Manual: David Pogue: Books - it's a great book and really helps not only getting people started with OSX, but also as a reference!

Thanks...I'll look into it.

The first thing to do in my opinion is to enable two-finger tapping for secondary click (System Preferences => Trackpad). This will enable a right-click just by tapping with two fingers. Very handy.

I'll second the nomination for David Pogue's OS X The Missing Manual. Even if you're a seasoned pro with computers, there's a lot of great info in there - not only on hardware and the OS, but also with the iLife suite. Very handy.
