So this is why my friend The Russian gets me in trouble.

Me and my roommate were debating whether or not Japanese people say moshi-moshi when answering the phone, or konichiwa. So with the help of maps on the iPhone, I look up some sushi joints in Japan and call 'em up. Moshi-moshi was used fairly frequently; Konichiwa, not so much.

They say Moshi Moshi on the Phone...and Konichiwa is usually used in person and it kind of depends on the time of day too. It's more like good afternoon.
