iMac won't see 3gp file

20" "new" aluminum iMac, 2.66 Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, 640GB HDD
I have synced my Samsung cellphone via bluetooth to copy the pictures and videos. However, the system shows my video folder on the phone as empty even though there are many videos with a file type of 3gp. The system sees the pictures with no problem. Any ideas?
