Design Work

So... possibly dumb question... I'm starting up a new company/project... and am not quite sure how to go about finding someone to do graphic work for it.... any advice?... basically i guess i need someone super short term at this point in time with possible long term?....

any advice whether it be dude you're an idiot or something actually constructive ... would be helpful... thanks...
