I am still getting used to the email and noticed that sometimes images don't load automatically but I can click the load images button and they will load. I looked in preferences and could not find a setting for this. Am I missing something?

If Mail thinks the message is spam, it won't load the images. This helps to prevent some recurring spam, as it means the spammers don't know whether or not your email address actually exists or is checked...

I leave the box in the pic unchecked which means that i have to tell each email to load images if i want to see them. My understanding is that it is a method spammers use to verify that email addresses are current - they include a one pixel image in the message and if the 1 pixel image is auto downloaded then it means it is a good address.
