• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

HELLO
was going to buy today the panasonic HDCSD20EBK camcorder today, seems they only had the display model left.so i have searched around again and found the panasonic SDRS-D20K however i have a couple of questions regarding this machine as follows. (1)will this camcorder accept sdhc flash memory cards, and (2)will this be compatable with my imac,i have imovie 09, (8.0.3) The panasonic SDRS-D20K records to avc-hd format
what ever that means.I have read the details about this camcorder but it seems a bit light on detail. Can any one help please, i dont know a lot about video as i am just starting to get into it,and don't want to make a considered purchase for it to not to work with my imac.

If you mean the HDC-SD20K.

1) See the technical specs.

2) It should be compatible. They claim it is "AVCHD standard complaint".

Search the web for the camera model (get it right) and imovie 08 & 09 to see what others have had to say. I couldn't find much.
