• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi guys and gals,
sorry to be a pain and asking basic questions but I'm completely new to the Mac world (3 weeks new to be precise).

How can I download a movie and burn it to DVD? I've got Toast Titanium 7 and have downloaded an AVI movie but the sound it out of sync with the picture.

Is this something I've done (not done) along the way and how do I rectify it.

Many THanks for sticking with a simpleton.

You're not going to get any help with such matters in this forum. The rules prohibit discussions which involve pirating movies, software etc.. It's illegal, and thus puts the forum at risk if such matters are discussed. There are other places on the internet for you to gather such info.

AVI seems to cause issues. I'd convert it to a QuickTime file. Search the forums for that.
