Hey
I've set up my hotmail address to work in mail, but it tries to import EVERY message I've ever gotten.
Is there a way around this so only mail from like today comes through this inbox?

cheers

Not sure, but why can't you just select then delete all the ones you don't want? It should only take a minute.

The only way to set it up has been with David Parnell's HTTPMail plugin. He has discontinued it as MS is ending the httpmail protocol in September. It also only works on the older grandfathered hotmail accounts. So, it may or may not work for you for a couple more months. You can still get it at Sourceforge. I believe the directions are included with the download.

MS is still on it's course of trying to get everyone to pay for hotmail (or LiveMail they call it now) if you want to use your own e-mail client with it.
