Best C++ App

Hello all. I'm rather fluent in the web languages, php html xml javascript css etc etc. but i'm beginning to (attempt) to get into c++ here soon. I was wondering what ur favorite little apps are for this. I've tried xcode and eclipse, but they are too big and complicated for me. I simply want to have a window to write code and a button to compile and run. any suggestions?

I'm sure TextMate will do the job for you (it's not free though). TextWrangler make also work for you (this is free).

Why not write the code in Smultron and then compile it with the GNU C++ Compiler (g++)?

eclipse... I use it for java but I think it is good for c++ also
