Deauthorization iTunes

Question, I have formated windows PCs that I have had with my iTunes account on them but I never deauthorized them, is there a way to go and do that to those old accounts??

About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization

You'll basically need to deauthorize all computers on your account and then authorize the ones you're still using.

You won't even have the option to do this unless you have 5 machines authorized and you can only do this once every 12 months.

Yeah, I've had to do this a couple of times. I don't understand why there is a 12 month limit on deauthorizing all of my computers

I guess it's because otherwise you could just deautorise and then autorise any time you wanted to use a different PC/Mac, which would be a get around for the DRM.

but you can do that anyway, on a computer by computer basis.
