Hello forum,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out here. I sent in my Macbook Pro to get a hardware repair done, and made the mistake of telling them that I had a backup. So, they totally wiped and re-installed my Mac OS X (which was entirely un-necessary, mind you), and severed the link between my Windows partition and the previous version of Boot Camp that I'd had installed.

Is there any way to recover that partition? There's important data there that I need to recover, and the hard drive still has 20GB uncharted as if I still have a bunch of information somewhere on my hard drive, so I'm entirely sure that it exists. The only real obstacle I can see here is that I only have a Leopard install DVD, when the Windows partition was created on the beta version of Boot Camp on Tiger.

Is there still some way I can safely get it all back?
