It's a little on the big side.

I just dragged your sig to my desktop and checked it in Preview here. It's 480 x 79 Pixels.
Here is the Forum Rules on Sigs. Yours is 1 Pixel less in height and the limit on length. So it just barely is within the rules.

Rules for Signatures:
You can have up to four lines of text in your signature as well as an image. Be tasteful, remember people are here to read posts, not be distracted by your signature. Specifically:
You can have up to four lines of text and one image up to 480 X 80 and 15k in size.
Links to other communities or forums are limited to one no larger than font size 1 or an image no larger than 80 X 15.

It may have made it within the guidelines but it is a bit distracting. Perhaps a smaller sig would be best ;).

Although it fits in with the signature guidelines, I agree that it is really big, distracting and generally unnecessary. Unless you have some kind of profound quote or statement, I'd keep it simple. People know your user name.

Good point. Why do you need your user name in your sig?

If you do want to keep it, look for something in your image editing program of choice that will scale the image down, keeping proportions or aspect ratio. For example, in Acorn you would go to Image > Resize Image... and make sure the "Keep aspect ratio" checkbox is checked. What image editing program are you using?

Not a huge fan personally, way too big. I actually ignore posts from people with big signatures, it's just not worth my time reading a post where the signature is bigger than what the poster actually has to say.

Looks a lot nicer now. It really was too large for what it was. I was just amazed it just made the rules though as it looked so large! :D

It kind of reminds me of when people put huge window stickers on their cars with the model name of the car or the manufacturer symbol. I'm sure few people need clarification on the matter, especially given that the car comes from the manufacturer with badges all over it. What's the point?

Umm just a side note on working in general. When you make something make sure you save it AI, PSD whatever so you always have the original.

Then when you need to make changes you can. Instead of dealing with a compressed file, which doesn't have the quality of the original.

You could have scaled it down using photoshop, but whatever works for you.
