The 'year of the notebook' once again
September 16, 2003 - 11:38 EDT During his keynote speech at Apple Expo in Paris earlier this morning (which brought an all-new 15-inch PowerBook and revamped 12- and 17-inch PowerBooks), Apple CEO Steve Jobs noted that 42 percent of Apple's computer sales are portable models versus an industry average of 24 or 25 percent. Jobs said he hopes sales of portables will soon equal Apple's sales of desktop Macs. "I think we can see that happen in the not-too-distant future," he said. "This is clearly the year of the notebook for Apple."

My Comments: These are pretty kewl stats.. which also means they are going to concentrate a little more on updating the notebooks.. where there is demand there will be lots of concentration.. very kewl!
