which iMac

Hi! am looking to change my G4 into a new 24" iMac

Question is, will the 2,66 be good enough or do I need to invest more for the 2,93??

Basically I will be running all the normal stuff, and specifically a music programme called Traktor Scratch, will converts mp3 so I can play them through a sound card as if they were vinyl......

What would you all recommend??

If you don't do any serious video editing the 2.66 should be just fine

i have a 2.4 and it runs everything perfect, no problems what so ever

You'll never a notice the difference between a 2.93 and a 2.66.

A 1.6Mhz Core2Duo will do everything you want quite happily.

I got my first Mac at the weekend and it's the 24" 2.66Ghz and it runs like a dream - I doubt even the 3.06Ghz would be any better.
