    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hello guys.

Can anyone tell me how to export the best .mov format from FCP with a less size but best quality?

i always wonder about the trailers they put on APPLE.COM/Trailers. Files they have like 480p, 720p or 1080p, they have the best quality around 100mb size or less. how do they do that, specially in FCP?

if anyone can tell me the step by step procedure how to do that?

Thanks in advance.

There is a balance, not a 'best'. I'm not in a place to review this, but I believe Apple is using the H.264 codec with ACC audio. On my Mac those HD trailers open in QuickTime and I can do a Command-I to review the details. I can't recall if that is a QuickTime or Safari option.

My iMovie Export Guide can help you learn to perform the custom QuickTime export from iMovie you'll need to do. This doesn't have has many options as a professional tool such as Compressor, but it will get the job done very nicely.
