I have tried to change my default browser from Safari, but when I go into Preferences all that comes up is Safari & "Select." Clicking on Select simply generates a menu of "applications," none of which are related to browser. The same thing occurs when I try to change the default email from "MobileMe," which I have cancelled! Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you installed any other browsers in Applications to choose from? I have downloaded & installed Firefox and OmniWeb, both are on the list to choose from.

With Mail you will need to set up another account, Mail prefs> accounts. Gmail is free and works ok.
