I will just say Fanboys whether Mac or Windows, Ford or Chevy are normally looked down on by most people as they go a bit far. I am sure your post was just for fun, but that is probably why you got some negative comments.

I want a new Shuffle, but I'm not a fanboy. I just like it. (one of 3 people that apparently does!)

I love my MBP, my iPhone, my current Shuffle and all other Apple products, I even get a little depressed when I need to use my work computer or fire up bootcamp, but I'm not a fanboy. Plus, I think the new PC ads are brilliant.

I have to say: being a "fanboy" of anything isn't a good idea, IMO. The word screams "following blindly".

In my experience, the true Apple fanboys are the ones who bash Windows' flaws without providing evidence, and praise Mac's benefits without providing evidence. They refuse to believe anything could possibly be better then their Mac. Try and convince them otherwise, they'll insult you with a large vocabulary of swear words, without actually making a relevant point.

Now that my little rant is done: No, I am not an Apple fanboy. I use Macs because I am more productive on them, and OS X is easier to use then Windows a lot of the time for me. If Microsoft ever gave Windows more advantages then Apple could offer with OS X, I would switch to Windows without hesitation.

In my experience, the true {group A} fanboys are the ones who bash {group B} flaws without providing evidence, and praise {group A} benefits without providing evidence. They refuse to believe anything could possibly be better then their {group A}. Try and convince them otherwise, they'll insult you with a large vocabulary of swear words, without actually making a relevant point.

There, that pretty much sums up fanboys of any flavor.
