I am currently looking to purchase an external DVD burner. Any suggestion you guy can give would be very helpful. Thanks.

If Pioneer makes an external dvd-r ide get that one, because thats the standard for macs right? I know the two interals I have use Pioneer.

Maybe I can make an external Pioneer DVR-105 drive.

The La Cie external (firewire) DVDr works best with the mac - I believe the mechanism is by Pioneer
