Processor Speed Question

does apple clock its processors differently than a windows processor? what would a 1.2GHz PowerPC G4 be equal to on a windows based machine?

x86 machines (what you called a Windows processor) is a completely different architecture than the PowerPC processors that Apple use. x86 are CISC processors and PowerPCs are RISC processors, etc.. it's like comparing apples and oranges (excuse the bad pun.) the differences are so different that clock speeds don't really matter.

You can't even compare 2 processors that run on an x86 platform that well, trying to compare PPC to x86 is even harder. Don't bother, if the system can efficiently do everything you need, it is fast enough.
