MFC 465 cn printing problems

I am using MFC 465 cn from Brother. Whenever i print, it comes like "double-text", some "space" etc. etc. At first glance, one would say there is no ink but I just bought new inks (all 4 colors) this morning. Please advise.

Did the problem coincide with the installation of the new cartridges?

no...even earlier it was the same. I thought it was due to lack of ink. But even with new inks...it prints wit spaces and double-text

Have you tried updating the driver from Brother's website?

yes i did. its still the same

Try this; first unplug the printer altogether. Go into System Preferences => Print & Fax. Find your printer in the list in the left window pane and then click the minus button (-) to remove it complete. Plug the printer back in and allow it to be rediscovered (if it doesn't pick it back automatically, then click the + sign to add it). See if it's still a problem then.
