Ok, I've finally got an imac. Not new, but a good deal on one of the last white 20" models, due for delivery Monday.:D

I appreciate the switchers guide here is excellent, thanks for all theinfo there folks, but I find reading a book much better for an overview.

Just wondering if there's a recommended guide book I can get, ideally up to date for Leopard and Intel based imac's.

The 2 that I'm considering are:

1. The Rough Guide to Macs and OS X
2. Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual

Not impressed by Dummies guides - they take up so much space with inane chat.

Any good? or does anyone recommend anything better.
I'm not expecting it to cover everything, especially advanced user stuff, I just need a good guide for general use, best practices setting up & storing data, etc.

Any opinions appreciated.

Cheers

I got a MacBook about a month ago. Coming from the Linux world I was rather comfortable with it. However, Mac OS X Leopard, The Missing Manual filled in many gaps. Its a great read.
