Xvid / subtitle viewing

I have a couple of video files that are in xVid format and some have subtitles in an external file (I'm pretty big into JP movies). I was wondering if their was a video player / codec that can view .avi's in xVid format and also view their subtitle file as well.

mplayer should be able to do it. or qt pro.

Thanks a lot macman. I just downloaded and tried one of my files on mplayer and it picked up the subtitles and the codec perfectly. Thanks again :mac:
