I'm thinking of buying a used Macbook for $500. Its a white macbook 13.3 inch 1GB ram 80GB hard drive. the person bought it in 2007. havent seen it but for $500, i think its pretty decent. my budget is $700 soo i can save $200. and probably use the extra $200 to upgrade the ram to 4GB and upgrade the hard drive to maybe 250GB if i can find a good deal. do you think its worth it? remember, my budget is $700.

I can just give you a reference.. I bought a 13.3" Macbook

Core Duo 2.0Ghz (note.. NOT Core 2 Duo)
2G Ram
250G HD
the latest OSX

all for $500

I might have gotten an outstanding deal and yours is still good though, I'm not sure.. It's just a point of reference for you

thast a good deal. ive been looking around and ive noticed that macbooks are cheaper in the east coast than the west coast. i live in Los Angeles and there isnt much popularity in macbooks here. and most are 13.3 white macbook 1-2gb ram and 60-80 gb hard drive. soo its seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Big low sell high?

I'm about to buy this Macbook off Craigslist and the seller accepted the price of $500. It is still looks in good condition and works great, should I sell the 2007 model Macbook for a higher price and get the money to buy the newer Macbook model that cost $1000?
