New apple user. Need help with warcraft3

Hi! I'm a new mac user and I'm having difficulties w/ my warcraft 3. I finally installed it and it runs fine w/o error, but I get a lot of lag spikes. The main game i play is dota. Does anyone have any suggestions on fixing the lag? I have the new late 2008 macbook pro 2.4ghz. Thanks!

Is this playing online or offline? If it's online, it could be your network connection. If it's offline, what other programs are you running? Your MBP should be more than able to play that game.

it's online and the network connection seems to be fine.. i have excellent connection.

Although your MBP should be able to handle it no problem, try turning down the graphics settings.

how do i do that? where do I go?

You find this in the warcraft opitions... but I think this is not the problem because my MacBookPro has 2.1ghz and, despite other problems, runs normally.

but if this didnt work try to reinstall following the blizzard intructions
