Using Lorem Ipsum Widget

I've found a "widget" which I guess is a (mac) utility that in this case is called Lorem Ipsum. This is a kind of goofy unintelligible text filler that graphic designers use to create "filler" copy. I've never used a widget, so I downloaded it and opened it and a different desktop opened up but there was no clear way to apply the widget so that I could create a text box. Can someone give me a brief tutorial on how to use a widget? TIA!

Very simple.

The new desktop that opened it actually an app called your Dashboard. It contains all your widgets and can be called up by pressing F12 on your keyboard. The settings for this can be found in system prefs>exposé & spaces>exposé

To add the widget simply double click it, drag it to where you want it once dashboard opens and click "keep"
